About us

Based in Garston Art Works aims to play its part in its Regeneration and Renaissence through the arts and creative industries. Initiatives such as the Print Club, Art Works Studios and the Slaughterhouse 73 is about promoting and supporting local artists creating opportunities in Garston and in the community. Art Works has over 30 years experience working strategically as consultants and practitoners in the arts and creative industries with particular emphasise on community involvement in regeneration, education, training, and employment.

More recently Art Works have established a reputation in arts development, project management, marketing and event planning. Art Works has been responsible for many high profile events in the run up to 2008 involving the Culture Company, Neighbourhood Regeneration Teams, Arts Organisations, Liverpool based artists,performers and well known celebrities.

Artworks Gallery - Slaughterhouse 73


Slaughterhouse 73 is the first and only gallery in Garston. The Slaughterhouse is also the home of the Garston Cultural Village Campaign, providing support to the arts and creative industries. A variety of events and exhibitions regularly take place at the Slaughterhouse including life-drawing classes, recordings, rehearsals, creative writing classes and exhibitions.
